These positions play a crucial role in maintaining educational continuity by stepping in for absent regular teachers, delivering effective instruction, and ensuring a stable classroom environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons based on existing plans to ensure educational continuity in the regular teacher’s absence.
- Uphold classroom management protocols, maintaining a disciplined and conducive learning environment.
- Implement and adhere to established routines and procedures of the regular classroom and teacher.
- Address and report any classroom incidents like student injuries or significant disciplinary issues directly to school administration.
- Carry out additional tasks as requested by school administrators to support overall student education and safety.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of at least 60 college/university credit hours. Official college transcripts will be required as proof.
- Clearance of State/FBI Criminal History to ensure a safe environment for all students.
- Eligibility to obtain a Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit, which Midwest Substitute Staffing will facilitate, or a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Complete a short training module for Substitute Teachers through Midwest Subs.
